Even though it’s blistering hot back home and far too hot for southern California (shorts – I’m not a fan), I am obsessing over a fall and winter favorite – cowls!
They are such a fun (and practical) accessory. Well, for cold weather, anyway. Perfect for skinnies, boots, and a fitted long-sleeve T.

Aren’t they just lovely? You can buy the first and find patterns for the rest by following their respective links. Enjoy, all you yarn people (I am envious of your talents)! And for those of you who are, like me, not yarn people, bribe your yarn friends to make one for you (ahem, Shelly, Amber, I’m looking at you).
What fall or winter accessory are you most looking forward to sporting during the upcoming season? My favorites, as usual, are boots closely followed by scarves and a mug o’ spiced cider. Cheers!

I’m surprised you AREN’T a yarn person – you are so crafty! Have you tried or just don’t want to start? I llllove boots as well.
I mean…I love just about any craft and/or hobby supply, so I do love yarn itself. I can knit or crochet a scarf, but that’s about it. I attempted a hat once…it was meant for a person with a head about the size of mine, and the finished product *may* have fit a newborn head…with some luck.
I think it’s something about the counting, or using new and different stitches I don’t know. It hurts my brain. I find it enjoyable if I just do the same stitch over and over with limited counting required, which you really only do for something like a scarf!
Although it’s hard to truly appreciate these since I was recently sunburned in NYC, I love them all the same. I taught myself to crochet via YouTube last winter and may have to attempt making a new something snuggly for the fall. I’m most looking forward to pulling out my stash of tights and boots (and adding to the collection, maybe…)
That’s a collection that can never be too large!
I hope you do tackle a new snuggly project for fall! As the weather [eventually] gets cooler, I always feel more inspired to start up (or, ahem, finish) projects like this.
You SHOULD be a yarnie! You were doing really well before! I’ll trade sewing lessons from you for crochet lessons from me.
One day I WILL pick it up again! And I am SO up for trading lessons!
omg – tooooooo CUTE!!!
