Giveaways

May 28th | Giveaway

by Katie on June 25, 2012

Happy Monday, y’all! I’m exciting to be introducing May 28th today, a completely fabulous brand of watches that are both trendy and wallet-friendly. They also just so happen to be giving one of their watches away to one of you! Woohoo!!

First, let’s enjoy some eye candy. These are some of my favorites!!

Need something bold and colorful? Love these:

Looking for something a bit different? How about these? There is just something I love about those black bands….

And this is just a small sample of May 28th’s designs!

May 28th was dreamed up by Agni Tilla (that’s her on the right), a Latvian-born designer and entrepreneur. She noticed a lack of “playfully chic, yet affordable” watches while searching for some to spice up her own everyday wardrobe. Agni designs vivid patterns and works with en vogue motifs to create fun pieces that guys and girls alike will love. They are water resistant (though not waterproof), and you can even send in your own watch face design and have it made! How awesome is that?!

These lovelies range from $28 – $39 (not bad for something so fab, am I right?!) and can be found in the US, France, the UK, Australia, Canada, and today, right here! *jumps up and down*

Want one for yourself? Here’s how to enter the giveaway:

Visit May28th.me (or May 28th’s Pinterest) and pick out your favorite watch. Pin it to your style/accessories board on Pinterest and post the link to your pin (and any additional comments you’d like to add) in the comments below. The winner will get to pick any one watch he or she desires from May 28th’s collection! We’ll pick a winner at the end of the week. :)

Note: If you don’t have Pinterest, well, I’m not sure we can be friends anymore. KIDDING! Just click over to May 28th’s website, find your favorite, and tell us which one that is in the comments below.

If you want all May 28th news and updates, you can find them on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr too!

UPDATE: Winner has been picked – Ali S! :) Thanks to everyone who entered!!

Three Winners and Another Giveaway

by Katie on December 12, 2011

Yay! So I pretty much *always* slack when it comes to picking winners for giveaways. I know, it’s lame. My apologies.

But! I finally have the winners (I used Random.org for the first time and rather liked it…sure beats writing names down on paper and drawing them from a bowl).

Here they are!

Earrings

Monique: “Am I too late? I LOVE these!!”
Thanks Monique!! No, you weren’t too late…but only because I was. :P

Pillows

Elisabeth: “I love the bright color! It is so thoughtful of you to give these away to your readers. :)
Thanks so much, Elizabeth!

Flower

Jill: “Love the wool flower!! I’m new to your blog and am head over heels in love with the new feminine flower rage….this wool pin is retro-gorgeous!”
Thanks for stopping by, Jill! I’m in love with all the flowers too – so many styles to pick from! And thanks! :)

I’ll be emailing each of you to get your mailing addresses. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!! Giveaways are so much fun, aren’t they?!

AND! Here is my last giveaway for a while. Also handmade, but not by me! This cotton bath pouf was whipped up by the fabulous and talented Shelly Bloom (who I know through the Phi Mu Alumnae chapter here in San Diego)! It sure beats the mesh poufs that fall apart after a few weeks of use. This you can just toss in the washer when it needs some cleaning and voila! Good as new. Shelly said she’s had one for over a year and it still works perfectly.

I particularly love the white, pink, and orangy-peach color combination…which is why it took me so long to post about it (yes, yes, I was close to keeping it, but since I got it specifically to giveaway, I decided it was the right thing to do ;) ).

I have a few other things that I picked up as nifty gifties from Shelly at last weekend’s craft fair, but I’ll have to share those in another post (they are so adorable, you’ll love them!) If you’re interested in a pouf or something else fabulous, you can find Shelly on facebook, etsy, and via email, institchesbyshellyb[at]yahoo[dot]com. She does custom orders as well – blankets, gloves, hats, and so much more – and her prices are beyond reasonable (like many other crafters, she doesn’t charge nearly enough)!

To enter, just comment! If I’m being good, I’ll pick a winner on Friday, 10/16, so I can get it in the mail the same or next day. :)

Wool Felt Flower Giveaway

by Katie on December 3, 2011

I love fabric and flowers and fabric flowers just as much as I love chevron! Yeeeaaahh!!

Here is a hand-stitched wool felt flower for you, with a pin and clip on the back so you can wear it wherever you wish. It’s just under four (4) inches in diameter, with olive-y green felt on top and mustard yellow felt on the bottom on each layer, stitched with brown thread.

You know the drill – comment to enter. Winner will be picked on 12/12. :)

Chevron Pillow Giveaway

by Katie on December 2, 2011

I’ve confessed my love of all things chevron many times before. I have been trying to “clean out” my fabric stash and realized I had enough green and white chevron to make some pillows to share with fellow chevron lovers! Or at least one fellow chevron lover.

These 19″-ish little guys come as a set and are quite bright. So if they don’t work somewhere in your home, give em’ away! I made one with the same fabric for work (my chair was really uncomfortable), so perhaps you could do the same – take one for you and give another to a friend.

Enter by posting a comment! Winner shall be selected at random next Friday.

Earring Giveaway

by Katie on December 1, 2011

Hey y’all!

I’m a huge fan of handmade things. Buying them from other people or making them myself – I love it all! And, since the holidays are coming up, I figured I’d give some of the goodies I have been working on away! Today, tomorrow, and Saturday I’ll be giving away some dangle-y earrings, green and white chevron pillows, and a wool felt flower (with a clip and pin on the pack so you can pin/clip it to [just about] anything).

I hope you like! Remember – since they’re handmade, they aren’t perfect. But beauty is in the imperfections….right? :P

The wire-wrapped stones are removable so you get the pink stones and the yellow stones and one set of wire earrings.

To enter, just leave a comment! A winner will be randomly picked next Wednesday. :)

Tomorrow – pillows!

It’s been a while since I’ve made and given anything away. These are just so much fun that I couldn’t stop making them….someone please take them off my hands!

Here’s the deal – these are made with stretch knit fabric and thread. They have no pins, clips, or buttons on the back, so if you get them, you have to put on your crafting cap and attach them however (needle and thread, safety pins, hot glue gun) you wish to whatever (cardigan, tote, headband) you wish. You can do it! I have faith.

They shall be given away in sets of three of the same color. To enter, comment below with the color you’d most like (yellow, pink, blue, purple) and where you’d put them! For another entry, “like” LiveOriginally on Facebook.

This’ll end next Saturday (4/16/2011) at noon, PST. :)
